I should be making dolmas for tomorrow, I opened my computer to look up how to make them in the crockpot and got sucked into the world of blogs. I saw this meme on If you want kin, you must plant kin and got hooked.
Things in bold are the ones I’ve done; things in italics are things I’d like to do; thing in italics with an asterisk are things I really, really want to do. The ones in regular font I have neither done nor want to do.
1. Started my own blog (or two)
2. Slept under the stars
3. Played in a band.
4. Visited Hawaii
5. Watched a meteor shower.
6. Given more than I can afford to charity.
7. Been to Disneyland/world (hard not to if you grew up in California)
8. Climbed a mountain (hiked up really, not in a rock climbing way)
9. Held a praying mantis
10. Sung a solo (actually I have but that is because of Faire, sometimes it pays to be in charge, as a singer, I am very funny)
11. Bungee jumped (this is right up there with jumping out of airplanes and rock climbing)
12. Visited Paris*****(I really want to go to Europe some day)
13. Watched lightning at sea
14. Taught myself an art from scratch
15. Adopted a child.
16. Had food poisoning (try living here and NOT)
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty
18. Grown my own vegetables
19. Seen the Mona Lisa in France. (see #12)
20. Slept on a overnight train* (I have never been on a train that I know of, except the subway in New York and BART .
21. Had a pillow fight
22. Hitchhiked.
23. Taken a sick day when you’re not ill
24. Built a snow fort
25. Held a lamb
26. Gone skinny dipping
27. Run a Marathon
28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice (see #12!!)
29. Seen a total eclipse
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset
31. Hit a home run (I would be happy if I could connect with the ball!)
32. Been on a cruise (a cruise to Europe would be perfect, but I'll settle for any cruise)
33. Seen Niagara Falls in person
34. Visited the land of my ancestors. (I have been to Cuba, but I would love to go to Spain!)
35. Seen an Amish community. (Hey, do the Mennonites who sell cheese here count?)
36. Taught myself a new language. (I'd like to learn another language someday besides Spanish or English).
37. Had enough money to be truly satisfied.
38. Seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person.
39. Gone rock climbing (it isn't the rock climbing it's the falling part that scares me!)
40. Seen Michelangelo’s David
41. Sung Karaoke (I would sound like Cameron Diaz in My Best Friend's Wedding,so we'll just avoid that one).
For the morbidly curious:

45. Walked on a beach by moonlight
46. Been Transported in an ambulance.

51. Gone scuba diving or snorkling. (I like the idea of this)

54. Gone to a drive-in theater (oh, yeah, sometimes we even watched the movie).
55. Been in a movie.(as living scenery, but hey!)
56. Visited the Great Wall of China**
57. Started a business.
58.Taken a martial arts class (judo, I have a white belt LOL, it kept my ghi on)
59. Visited Russia
60. Served at a soup kitchen
61. Sold Girl Scout Cookies
62. Gone whale watching (when I was a bus driver, I went on a field trip to the coast, the whales were there, does that count?)
63. Got flowers for no reason
64. Donated blood,platelets or plasma (I never used to weigh enough to donate blood)
65. Gone sky diving (and I never ever want to, it's that falling thing!)
66. Visited a Nazi Concentration Camp

69. Saved a favorite childhood toy. (from what? I don't have too much stuff from my past, being burglarized 4 times, going through both a fire and a flood tends to cut down on the keepsakes).

72. Pieced a quilt (I think I would like quilting but I have never tried)
73. Stood in Times Square

78. Been on a speeding motorcycle
79. Seen the Grand Canyon in person (Does seeing it from a plane count?)
80. Published a book.**** (I'm liking the idea of writing a book more and more these days.

82. Bought a brand new car (a pick up truck actually)

84. Had my picture in the newspaper

86. Visited the White House
87. Killed and prepared an animal for eating.
88. Had chickenpox
89. Saved someone’s life
90. Sat on a jury (I'm curious about doing it)
91. Met someone famous (define famous, I have met Jeffrey Weissman, and of course William Shakespeare, Samuel Clemmons, Queen ElizabethI, and various other historical characters))
92. Joined a book club (does this mean the kind that sends you books via the mail or one where everyone reads the same book and discusses it? I've definitely done the first and I am supposed to be reading a book in Spanish to discuss but it's out of stock. The book store keeps saying it will be in stock in 15 days)
93. Lost a loved one
94. Had a baby
95. Seen the Alamo in person
96. Swam in the Great Salt Lake
97. Been involved in a law suit
98. Owned a cell phone
99. Been stung by a bee
100. Rode an elephant (at the county fair, but I rode one!!)
How's that? Now I really must run off and do some cooking.

I generally dislike these lists, but it is a fast way to learn about people through a stranger's prism of reality. I just may do it myself.
I love it! I may have to do something similar to ring in the new year, and say adios to 2oo8!!

Steve, It's a weird list, it really leans towards travel and risk taking (bungee jumping etc).
Laur, It will be fun to see where our lists overlap.
Fned, let's see your list will have all the Paris stuff but you probably have never been to a drive in movie or whale watched. Right?
